Specialized - Roubaix Expert UDi2 Carbon
Smooth is fast. Specialized's 2017 Roubaix Expert Ultegra Di2 combines a great frame with revolutionary Future Shock technology with super smooth Di2 Shifting for the ultimate endurance ride.
The all new Roubaix frame is one of the lightest Specialized have ever made and is constructed from FACT 10r carbon fibres. Its stiffness levels are higher than before and compared to the SL4 frameset from last year, you'll experience a faster, more efficient package. Through some engineering expertise, the Roubaix sports more racy geometry but manages to keep the same fit and feel position that you love from the previous SL4 Roubaix.
The biggest change to the new Roubaix frame is Future Shock. Essentially a piston located in the headtube that provides 20mm of travel. Developed in partnership with Mclaren Applied Technologies, this technology is a drastic improvement in vertical compliance, improving smoothness, speed, and comfort - all in one fell swoop.
Clever SWAT Storage box located at the bottom of the downtube provides a place to stash your essential gear and is aerodynamically shaped to reduce drag making it a drastic improvement to on the bike storage needed for long days in the saddle.
The Robuaix Expert UDi2 features the ultimate in shifting performance with a full Di2 Ultegra Groupset, providing precision shifting with a simple button press. Due to the electronic nature of the Ultegra Di2 Groupset you never have to worry about cable tension to get the perfect shifting in all gears. In addition to Di2, the Roubaix Expert features Shimano's integrated Hydraulic Disc Brakes, providing enhanced braking control and modulation to boost your confidence in all conditions.
DT R460 Disc Wheels are built to be both tough and light to match the character of the Roubiax to withstand the abuse of riding broken roads and cobbles at the high speeds that the Roubaix Expert can achieve.
