Since it’s re-incarnation in 2016 the Iroko has been gaining popularity with test wins and rave reviews abound (WMB – Gold award + test win, MBUK – 2x test winner, MBR 9/10 + many more). It’s a firm favourite at Pinnacle HQ, alongside being the staff bike of choice at Evans Cycles. As always though there is room for improvement, which for 2018 comes in the form of increased clearance and Boost hub spacing. The frame and fork now has clearance for “wide trail” tyres up to 2.65” if you need more volume and grip. Boost standard spacing hubs and a new chainstay yoke have allowed us to keep the geometry we love. A 66 degree head angle, 120mm fork, low BB and long-reach, short stem geometry adds up to a bike which exudes confidence when descending, yet doesn’t skimp on efficiency when climbing. The triple butted frame is tough but keeps the weight sensibly low, whilst cable routing options allow for internal/external dropper post and/or side swing front mech. If you’re looking for a trail-capable hardtail which won’t hold you back, then this is the bike for you.
